About

Living in the wake of love, lessons, and loss, Shannon respects the emotional challenges and unique landscapes of us all, as practitioners, teachers, and students of yoga. She is a beloved, story-telling eccentric who infuses her bodies of work with a committed advocacy for mental health and its place on and off the mat. Her instruments of instruction are detailed and accessible embodied teachings, woven through a rich tapestry of imagery, humor, and mythology. With a trauma-informed approach, she encourages the practitioner to unlock the secrets held in the human heart and release stuck physical and emotional patterns that no longer serve. She is described as being ‘confidently vulnerable’ and, as a result, is a sought after speaker, teacher, and writer on grief and suicide survivorship.

Off the mat, she loves fresh laundry, wake-surfing, and endless hours of country music. Shannon is currently on a yoga teaching and teacher training sabbatical, pursuing a Masters of Public Service at the Clinton School of Public Service, University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Her limited presentation and retreat schedule is listed below and a future teaching and travel teaching calendar will be released early 2025.
